Significance and Sweetness of Radha Krishn Leelas

About 5000 years ago, Krishn descended from His Divine abode with His Soul, Radha, on this earth planet and revealed His Divine leelas.

Krishn says in Gita, “Janmkarm cha me divyam.” (My descension and My actions are Divine, Gita4/9). His actions, pastime and plays are called leelas, and are manifested to Grace the souls.

Krishn expounds His leelas of different kinds so that the devotees can choose His leelas according to their personal taste and emotionally meditate upon them. We can think of His kindness: how He saved His playmates from demons. We can think about His love towards Brajwasis: how He saved them from a deluge by lifting Govardhan hill, and how He defeated Kaliya, the serpent who had poisoned the waters of Yamuna with his venom. We can remember His dependability in love: how He gave happiness to the Gopis by His sweet mischief and naughty pranks, like stealing their butter, and so on.

Engrossing our mind by mentally imagining or visualizing any of Radha Krishn leelas and feeling Their presence close to us, is called ‘roopdhyan’. Such a roopdhyan fills our eyes with tears of love that takes us deeper into our heart, and brings Radha Krishn closer to us.
